about

McDead goes on a slippery slope with "Slide", a warm sounding experiment far out into the wide open of Americana with steel/slide guitar, 'down under-pinned' by Kev's Ozzy influenced LoFi production style.
Part inspired by shades of Morning Phase Beck, later Radiohead, Steve Reich and beyond. The track sees Kev exploring a wide open musical space, alternating with a narrower way of thinking about music. This time without his trademark field recordings, the song was written as a musical counterpoint to his previous release 'Slick'.

This kind of unique musical experiment can fail easily; very very badly if it goes wrong - but great if it goes to plan... hopefully "Slide" is good and works well for you, for the all the right reasons. Enjoy!
